Terms & Conditions
By submitting a trade-in quote request or sending a device to VFURBIX, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Section 1 — Device Condition Definitions
VFURBIX uses the following condition grades to assess devices:
- Like New / Sealed: Device is unused or opened but shows no signs of use. No scratches, cracks, or marks. Battery health 95% or above where applicable.
- Good / Working: Device powers on and is fully functional. May have minor cosmetic marks or light scratches. Screen is intact with no cracks.
- Damaged / Cracked: Device has a cracked screen, damaged housing, or other physical damage. Device may still be functional.
- Faulty / Not Working: Device does not power on, has serious hardware failure, or has been liquid damaged.
Your initial online quote is based on the condition grade you select. If the device received does not match the grade submitted, VFURBIX reserves the right to revise the offer.
Section 2 — Trade-In Quote Terms
2.1 All quotes provided through the VFURBIX platform are obligation-free estimates based on the information you provide.
2.2 Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. If your device is not received within 14 days, VFURBIX reserves the right to revise or withdraw the quoted price.
2.3 Prices may change in line with market conditions. The price displayed at the time of quote submission is the offer made to you at that point.
2.4 VFURBIX reserves the right to revise the quoted price after physical inspection of the device if the actual condition differs from the condition selected during the quote process.
2.5 If VFURBIX revises the offer following inspection, you will be contacted via email or phone. You will have the option to accept the revised offer or have the device returned to you at no cost.
Section 3 — Inspection Process
3.1 Upon receiving your device, VFURBIX will conduct a physical and functional inspection.
3.2 The inspection covers, but is not limited to: screen condition, housing condition, battery health, button functionality, camera functionality, microphone and speaker functionality, and software status.
3.3 If the device is found to have undisclosed damage (including but not limited to liquid damage, missing components, or aftermarket parts), a revised offer will be issued.
3.4 VFURBIX has the right to reject any device that has been tampered with, jailbroken (Apple), rooted (Android), or modified with unauthorised parts.
3.5 Devices found to be counterfeit or non-genuine will not be accepted and will not be returned.
Section 4 — Right to Revise or Reject
4.1 VFURBIX reserves the right to revise any quote after inspection based on actual device condition.
4.2 VFURBIX reserves the right to reject any trade-in submission at its sole discretion.
4.3 If a revised offer is issued and no response is received within 14 days, VFURBIX may process the device at the revised price.
4.4 Rejected devices will be returned to the customer at no charge unless the device is confirmed to be stolen, blocked, or financed (see Section 6).
Section 5 — Payment Terms
5.1 Payment will be made within 3–5 business days of completing the inspection and confirming the accepted offer.
5.2 Payment is made via bank transfer (EFT) to the account details provided by the customer.
5.3 It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate and complete payment details. VFURBIX is not liable for any payment errors resulting from incorrect details submitted by the customer.
5.4 All prices quoted are inclusive of GST where applicable.
5.5 VFURBIX does not offer cash payments.
Section 6 — iCloud / Find My iPhone
6.1 It is the customer's sole responsibility to remove iCloud Lock and disable Find My iPhone (or Find My Device on Android) before sending the device.
6.2 Devices received with iCloud Lock active will not be processed and no payment will be made.
6.3 VFURBIX will contact the customer via email requesting the device be unlocked. If no response is received within 14 days, the device may be disposed of or recycled at VFURBIX's discretion.
6.4 VFURBIX will not be held liable for any data loss, iCloud-related fees, or account complications arising from a customer's failure to remove iCloud Lock before sending.
Section 7 — Stolen, Blocked, or Financed Devices
7.1 By submitting a trade-in request, you confirm that the device is your lawful property and is not reported stolen, lost, blocked, or currently under a finance agreement or payment plan.
7.2 VFURBIX checks all received devices against national and international blocked device databases.
7.3 If a device is found to be stolen, blocked, or under active finance, it will not be returned and will be reported to the relevant Australian authorities. No payment will be made.
7.4 Any attempt to trade in a stolen or financed device may constitute fraud under Australian law.
Section 8 — Shipping and Drop-Off Responsibility
8.1 VFURBIX offers a free shipping option for eligible trade-ins. Where a prepaid satchel or label is provided, the device is covered during transit.
8.2 If you choose to send your device using your own postage method, VFURBIX is not liable for any loss or damage that occurs during transit.
8.3 VFURBIX recommends using a tracked and insured postage method if sending independently.
8.4 Devices may also be dropped off in person in Melbourne. Details are available on the Contact page.
8.5 Any accessories, SIM cards, memory cards, cases, or chargers included with the device will not be returned. VFURBIX takes no responsibility for any items included beyond the device itself.
Section 9 — Warranty on Products Sold
9.1 Devices sold by VFURBIX as refurbished are covered by a limited warranty period as specified at the time of sale.
9.2 The warranty covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use.
9.3 The warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, accidental damage, unauthorised repairs, or software issues caused by the user.

Section 10 — Australian Consumer Law
10.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which forms Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
10.2 Under the ACL, consumers are entitled to certain guarantees including that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match the description provided.
10.3 If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, you are entitled to a remedy including a repair, replacement, or refund depending on whether the failure is major or minor.

Section 11 — Data and Privacy
11.1 Any personal information collected during the trade-in process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy.
11.2 VFURBIX will perform a factory reset on all devices received. However, it is the customer's responsibility to back up and remove personal data before sending the device.
11.3 VFURBIX is not liable for any residual data on devices that could not be erased due to the device's condition.
Section 12 — Changes to These Terms
12.1 VFURBIX reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
12.2 The current version of these Terms & Conditions is always available at vfurbix.com/terms.
12.3 Continued use of the VFURBIX platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
